Anastasija Gjurčinova




Anastasija Gjurčinova is born on June, 20, 1963, in Skopje, Macedonia.
Graduated in 1985, in Comparative Literature and Italian Language and Literature, at the Faculty of Philology “Blaže Koneski” – Skopje.

Post graduate studies accomplished in 1992, at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Belgrade, Yugoslavia, with MA theses on “Italo Calvino and the Fairy Tale”.

Ph.D. theses – “Reception of Italian Literature in Macedonia”, discussed on June 2000, at the Faculty of Philology “Blaze Koneski” – Skopje.

In the period 1987-2001 works as a researcher in the Institute of Macedonian Literature at the University of Skopje.

Since February 2002, works as a professor of Italian Literature at the Department of Roman Languages and Literatures, at the Faculty of Philology “Blaze Koneski” – Skopje.

President of the Macedonian Association of Comparative Literature
Vice-president of Dante Alighieri Institute in Macedonia.

Has attended different courses of Italian Language and Culture in Italy, and has participated on many seminars and symposiums on Comparative and Italian Literature in Macedonia and abroad.
Writes and publishes essays, texts and translations in macedonian and italian reviews and periodicals.

Has published the following books:
